This piece explores the complexities of love through a series of five photographs, each capturing a different emotional moment between couples. The words I’ve written—"I see you with my heart, not with my eyes. Loving someone is giving them the power to hurt you, but trusting them not to."—speak to the core of this collection. To truly love someone is to open yourself up to both the potential for joy and the risk of pain. The vulnerability captured in the eyes of these couples is a reflection of the deep emotional exchange that occurs in relationships, where the heart sees beyond the surface. Love is both an act of power and surrender—giving someone the power to hurt you, yet trusting them not to, knowing that in that trust lies the potential for something deeply meaningful.
